Massive amounts of malware redirects in searches
Published in malware by Marcus Walshe
I would advise reading through the article that Alex Eckelberry has published on the SunbeltBlog site. Here is the link: http://sunbeltblog.blogspot.com/2007/11/breaking-massive-amounts-of-malware.html
Looking at the URLs that appear in the screenshots on the site, they all appear to be random collections of alpha/numeric characters, and they all appear to be Chinese registered domains. Google has been notified of the problem and have removed some of these domains, but others remain and are not flagged by Google as dangerous links. These sites so not seem to appear when using Microsoft Live or Yahoo.
The bottom line is to be vigilant and read the URL before clicking on it.
